Meet Our Dentists
Ellen Rudolph Jarvis, DMD
William I. Rudolph, DMD
More than 43 years ago, Dr. William I. Rudolph opened his dental practice in Columbus, Indiana, and has spent years laughing with and sharing difficult times with his patients. He feels blessed to be part of the extraordinary community in Columbus, Indiana.
His daughter, Dr. Ellen Rudolph Jarvis, DMD, has long been interested in dentistry. With both her parent dentists, she learned from a young age the importance of good dental hygiene, and she decided to follow in their footsteps. Dentistry today is to her not just a job but a passion. She loves caring for her patients, wanting to make them feel safe and at home in a professional environment, and she sees them not just as patients but as friends.
After years making friends himself, Dr. Rudolph now works fewer hours, allowing him time for traveling, playing with his grandkids, and pursuing hobbies. His daughter, Dr. Rudolph Jarvis, oversees the day-to-day operations of the dental clinic.
After watching her parents — even practicing on them as a child — Dr. Ellen Rudolph Jarvis knew from a young age she wanted to help others by becoming a dentist. After graduating from Indiana University with a BA in chemistry, Dr. Ellen Rudolph Jarvis attended the University of Louisville School of Dentistry, graduating in 2006 with a doctorate in medical dentistry.
She has worked under both her parents, gleaning their combined decades of experience. She is a member of the American Dental Association, the Indiana Dental Association, and the Madow Group for Dental Excellence. She strives for professional excellence by taking yearly continuing education courses, including a certification course to provide Invisalign® aligners at the practice.
Dr. Rudolph Jarvis and her husband, Ronnie, have two children, Preston and Allison, and three "fur babies": Bay, Ruger, and Maxwell. Outside work, Dr. Ellen enjoys cooking, reading, bicycling with her family, and volunteering at church.
Meet Our Team
Cynthia has been in the dental career field for 10 years, and she works hard every day to make sure every patient receives the best care possible.
In 2013, she completed the Expanded Functions Dental Program at the Indiana University School of Dentistry and also received certificates of completion for coronal polishing and caries prevention at the same time. What she likes most about our practice is that the staff is nice and friendly, and she loves how the patients are like family.
Cynthia and her husband, Chris, live in North Vernon, with their beautiful daughter, Bristol. In her spare time, Cynthia enjoys spending time with her family, crafts, and party planning.
Susie is an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant and graduated with her Associate of Applied Sciences in Dental Assisting degree from Ivy Tech Community College in August 2019. She came as a student here at Rudolph Family Dentistry and was thrilled to join the team full time after her externship was completed. Susie is ready to brighten each patient’s day…and their smile!
When she isn’t polishing teeth, she can be found polishing nails as a licensed cosmetologist, which she has been for the last 10 years. She loves cooking, crocheting, crafting, and spending time with her husband, daughter, and two miniature dachshunds, Olive and Leia.
Blake is an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant and graduated from Ivy Tech Community College in July 2018. She was a student here at our office while she was in school and she gladly accepted a full time position at our practice after graduation.
On special occasions, Blake is working alongside her curly golden doodle pup, Milo, who comes with her to work to give his paw in helping patients feel more relaxed during dental procedures and making the office feel a little more like home.
When Blake isn’t at work she enjoys hiking with her two golden doodle puppies, Duke and Milo, or playing co-ed softball at the local softball diamonds. She has future plans of continuing her education and becoming a Registered Dental Hygienist for our office.
